About Us

The Irish Self Catering Federation was founded in 2002. It is the National organisation for all self catering properties in Ireland. The primary functions of the ISCF is to promote and protect the interests of its members. The Irish Self Catering Federation represents almost 250 Members who market thousands of holiday homes in Ireland and who individually employ many thousands of people both on a full time and seasonal basis throughout Ireland in the tourism sector.

The Irish Self Catering Federation office is based in Arklow, County Wicklow. The ISCF has a National Council representing both group and individual members in the different regions

The Chairman of the ISCF is John O'Connell.  John is from Donegal and operates the Atlantic Apartotel, Holiday Apartment Complex & Leisure Centre in Bundoran.  He is also Chairperson of Irish Cottage Holiday Homes Association.

The ISCF Treasurer is Michael Brennan, who is from Dublin. The Officers are elected by the National Council and hold office for a period of two years.

The National Council meets bi-monthly and holds an Annual General Meeting. 

John O'Connell, our newly appointed Chairman has very clear objectives for the Federation.

ISCF Short Term Objectives:

To steer the new ISCF Consumer web site and booking engine project to operational phase and ensure its establishment as a primary resource for members in developing business.

To continue the expansion of the ISCF membership and utilise that growing representative mandate to seek a fair share of state support for our sector.

To continue to provide a platform for members to avail of additional promotional marketing initiatives.

To further develop the ISCF regional branch structures to assist members in networking with other members with similar regional interests.
