The Irish Self Catering Federation was founded in 2002. It is the National organisation for all self catering properties in Ireland. The primary functions of the ISCF is to promote and protect the interests of its members. The Irish Self Catering Federation represents almost 250 Members who market thousands of holiday homes in Ireland and who individually employ many thousands of people both on a full time and seasonal basis throughout Ireland in the tourism sector.
The Irish Self Catering Federation office is based in Arklow, County Wicklow. The ISCF has a National Council representing both group and individual members in the different regions
The Chairman of the ISCF is Padraig Hanrahan. Padraig is from Kerry and operates the Ballybunion Golf Holiday Homes. Padraig Hanrahan manages a complex of 12 Holiday Homes in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry. Padraig has served three years on the National Council of the ISCF and the last two years as a director. Padraig Hanrahan is also a current Director of Ballybunion Development Company, a Director of Go Kerry and sits on the Board of Fáilte Kerry. Padraig is a previous Director of the Fáilte Ireland South West Regional Authority. .
The ISCF Treasurer is Paula Irwin, who is from Meath and the Company Secretary is Stephen Corrigan from Mayo. The Officers are elected by the National Council and hold office for a period of two years.
The National Council meets bi-monthly and holds an Annual General Meeting.
