The Irish Self Catering Federation – ISCF – whose members supply cottage and holiday homes rentals all over Ireland – have strengthened their European ties by joining the European Holiday Homes Association. Speaking at the launch of the new look website www.iscf.ie, Peter Downey, Chairman of the ISCF said “We recognise the huge challenges facing us from the global market, not just from number of choices for tourists when booking their accommodation but also in the way business is done. Our members face changes to planning and European legislation and we provide a lobbying platform and support to our owners.
Many of the issues faced by property owners in Ireland are common across Europe. We are adopting a united approach to eliminate obstacles and gain support for the balanced development of the collaborative self -catering accommodation sector. As members of the EHHA, we will be working directly with policy makers to ensure Ireland’s needs are considered in the design of guidelines for the benefit of all”.
The newly branded website has lots of information for cottage and holiday home owners, with regular blogs on topical issues affecting the sector. Membership is open to all holiday home owners throughout Ireland and you can join online using the following http://www.iscf.ie/join-us/.
